WE’RE LOOKING FOR A FEW GOOD CAPTAINS

Join Today

The MBCA was founded by a group of local captains for the purpose of insuring that their voices were heard by lobbying politicians both at the state and federal levels. At that time the MBCA was representing the charter and party boat captains. That mission has expanded to include the recreational fisherman and boatmen. Our mission at the Montauk Boatman and Captains Association is: “To preserve the tradition of sportfishing culture in Montauk and to ensure our long term and equal access to our local fisheries.”

As a volunteer organization, the MBCA has many dedicated individuals who donate both their time and money to support the cause of the charter and headboat industry as well as the wider recreational fishing community. At the meetings members get together in a social environment to discuss pressing issues and concerns. We welcome local businesses and marinas, and encourage both professional captains and recreational anglers alike to join. It is imperative to preserve our resources, and we at the MBCA need your involvement.

Montauk Point is a special place. Please support our harbor and resources by joining the MBCA today.
