Tournament Rules

TARGET SPECIES:  BLUEFIN TUNA & FLUKE

• Bluefin Tuna – total weight of up to 2 fish. Minimum and maximum size fish per the NOAA Fisheries BFT Retention Limits. Each boat can weigh in a maximum of 2 bluefin tuna throughout the tournament.
• Fluke – total weight of up to 5-fish stringer. Minimum size fish per NYS Saltwater Fishing Regulations. Each boat can weigh in a maximum of 5 fluke throughout the tournament.
• No limit on the number of days fishing between August 1 at 5 am and August 9 at 12 pm.
  Registration is not completed until full payment is remitted.
• All fish must be weighed at a designated TWS and recorded on a TWS slip, to be signed by a designated TWS representative and the angler.
• Fish must arrive at the TWS by registered vessel. Fish that are brought by car or a boat not registered in the tournament will not qualify for weigh-in.
• All tournament participants must possess valid state and/or federal fishing permits, as applicable. All fish must comply with state and federal fishing regulations.
• All fish must be landed aboard a tournament registered vessel.
• No use of electric or hydraulic reels.
